Welcome to my website!

My name is Tim Pargent, I am a member of the Bavarian state parliament for Bündnis 90/Die Grünen. Born in Bayreuth, I represent my constituency of Upper Franconia in Munich. In the Green parliamentary group, I am the financial policy spokesperson and a member of the faction's executive committee. On this page you will find information about my political work in Upper Franconia and Munich, upcoming events, press photos and ways to get in touch with me.

About me:

At the age of 25, I became the second youngest member of the Bavarian state parliament in 2018. I stood for re-election in 2023 and am looking forward to serving a second term in the Bavarian state parliament for Upper Franconia. Working both in the Bavarian state parliament and in my two regional offices in Bayreuth and Hof requires a lot of commuting, but also fulfills me thanks to the variety of tasks. As Deputy Parliamentary Secretary, I am also part of the extended executive committee of the Greens in the Bavarian state parliament and am therefore also a member of the Council of Elders.

I was born in Pegnitz but have lived in Bayreuth ever since. This is where I grew up and where I am still firmly rooted today. At school, I stood up for the interests of my classmates as student representative. We were dissatisfied with the hasty G8 reform - and took to the streets together for good education and our democratic right to have a say.

That's how I joined the Bayreuth Youth Parliament and later the Green Youth. In 2014, I became the youngest city councilor in history to be elected to Bayreuth City Council. From school refurbishment to debt repayment, I have always stood up for the interests of young people here. At the same time, I completed my Bachelor's degree in International Business and Development and my Master's degree in Human Geography - Urban and Regional Research.

In the Bavarian state parliament, I work in the Budget and Finance Committee to ensure that things are fairer in Bavaria - fairer between us taxpayers and fairer for future generations. I work with this message as the financial policy spokesperson for the Bavarian Green parliamentary faction. I want to set the right course for a sustainable Bavaria.

With so many meetings, I enjoy getting out into the countryside at the weekend - whether on a bike ride with my wife or a kayak trip on the Red Main. As a schoolboy, I was an enthusiastic kayaker and German youth team runner-up. I still have close ties with my sporting home, the Bayreuth Swimming Club (SVB). I've also been an enthusiastic field hockey player for a few years now and am happy when I have a free Saturday for a game with the Bayreuther Turnerschaft (BTS) team.
